Yakima JetStream Crossbars Roof Rack Installation - 2023 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi, Matt with eTrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, on the 2023 Toyota Highlander. Taking a closer look at our system, it's gonna be comprised of our 50-inch JetStream crossbars, our skyline towers, and our landing pad bases. Those are all gonna work together to kinda give you some extra space up top if you wanna carry any roof boxes or kayaks too. Our crossbars are gonna be made of aluminum with a black powder coat finish. It just means it's gonna be lightweight and corrosion resistant. Even though it's made of aluminum, it can still withhold 165 pounds. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be looking at and have installed the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero roof rack system on the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. The Rhino-Rack's gonna be a great option for you if you're running out of room in the back of your bed. Since this is a smaller bed, you won't be able to fit your larger items like kayaks, so that's where this rack's really gonna come in handy too. Our roof rack system's gonna fit by clamping on to this gutter here. And then if we take a closer look up here, we're gonna have our 65 inch aero crossbars that can withstand 165 pounds. more

Curt Adapter Rails for Curt Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch Installation - 2022 Ram 2500- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at these Curt Adapter Rails on our 2022 Ram 2500. Now that's going to be an adapter piece from the factory puck system if your RAM came with that in the bed and adapt it so you can use your pre-existing Curt Fifth Wheel with Slider Base. So if you already have that from a previous truck and you just mounted it up to your ISR rails, then this is going to be the piece that lets you use it with your new truck that has the prep package for towing. So rather than getting a whole new fifth wheel that's designed to work with that factory puck system, you can use what you already have, drop it into this adapter piece and keep using it as normal. Curt Safety Chain Loops Installation - 2022 Ram 2500- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at these Curt Replacement Safety Chain Loops for your factory puck system on your 2022 Ram 2500. Of course, you can get this in the full kit if you've got a gooseneck trailer you need to tow where it comes with the two and 5/16 inch ball and both safety chain loops. But if for whatever reason one of these becomes missing or just not working anymore, you can pick up replacements of just the safety chain loops and it's going to work just like your old ones. So let's check them out. So this comes with all the same pins that your old one did and it'll drop into those factory pucks just like it did before, securing in with both pins to keep it locked up (metal clanking) and in place. more

A charge line is something that I recommend not only for the trailblazer but for every single flat tow that I set up. And the reason being whenever you're flat towing your vehicle the battery can get depleted. And that's because in some cases the vehicles use the battery power when they're getting flat towed, but in all cases essentially your supplemental braking system is gonna use battery power whenever it operates. more

Today, we're taking a look at and we're gonna show you how to install the Mount-n-Lock HEAVY-HAUL'R Four-Inch RV Bumper on our 2020 Dutchmen Coleman travel trailer. Upgrading your RV's bumper to this bumper is gonna allow you to safely haul accessories on the back of your RV. This bumper actually is gonna have a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Standard RV bumpers, most of them don't even have a weight capacity because they're not tested to have accessories mounted to them. You may not have seen it, but we've seen it many a times, an accessory like a hitch like we have here or a bike rack or something is inserted in a hitch, and the bumper has either ripped off or twisted because the wall of the bumper, so the thickness of the tube itself, is too thin and it's not rated to tow. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster charge line kit on a 2021 Ford F150. Adding a charge line to your F150 is a great option because the battery stays in the accessory mode and stays on while flat towing. Your braking system always uses a little bit of 12 volt power as well. So as you're going down the road that battery's gonna wanna drain and you wanna be able to trickle charge that to make sure that it doesn't die while towing, but also you won't have to jumpstart it when you get to your campsite. Having a charge line is going to accomplish that for you. It's very simple, it just ties into your six pole and that will get the 12 volt source via your umbilical from the RV run to your circuit breaker. more

Adding a drainage system like this to your RV is kind of unique in the market as of right now. This is a system that is designed to be permanently mounted inside your RV. You tie it in with your water lines so that you can winterize your camper or just use it like the owner of this one's gonna use it for, it's just to clear out stagnant water from campground to campground. They use it quite a bit, but they wanna be able to blow out the lines before they have to run a bunch of water through so that they don't have the stagnant water sitting in the lines and then they can get that new water flowing through the system. more

Demco SBS Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Wire Kit Installation - 2013 Cadillac SRX- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at installing the Demco charge wire kit on a 2013 Cadillac SRX. Now normally on this installation of a charge line, this is something that you're gonna wanna do when you're installing the rest of your flat tow components, especially your diode wiring, because this ties into your six pole. So having it ready to go one time is definitely the best option. But our neighbor here has their flat tow set up, and they have a mobile braking system, and they realize that, well, the car has to stay in accessory mode so it's gonna drain the battery, because it uses the 12 volt power. So in order to make sure they don't have to start their vehicle to get the battery charged back up, the charge line's gonna be the best option. This is gonna pull that 12 volt power from the seven pole on the RV, and make its way to the sixth pole. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today I have a Yakima roof rack system with the 50 inch long bars and the TimberLine towers. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Volkswagen Taos. So your Volkswagen Taos has a raised rail meaning there's a rail that goes up but you can also fit things underneath it. Now because of how small it is, this actually doesn't fit perfectly for all roof rack brands. So some roof racks need a special clamp that's smaller in order to securely fit around this rail system. But since the Yakima TimberLine towers have a strap that go around, then you don't have that issue. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, And today I have the Rhino-Rack roof rack system with extra long crossbars, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like maybe a roof box for more cargo space, or some kayaks, or even a roof mounted bike rack what you first need is a roof rack system. There are a bunch of different kits or roof racks for the Jeep Wrangler two-door version. This is actually my special recommendation kit because it has longer crossbars than what is usually recommended for this car. So measuring from the tower to right before that end cap, it's gonna be about 4 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 give or take how you set this up. That measurement is going to be helpful for if you want to clamp accessories to the tower, if you wanna maximize your crossbar space. more

Now the ETBC7 Kit is going to allow you to have both a seven-way RV style plug in the back and a four-way flat plug in the back. It's gonna come with wiring, circuit breakers, everything you need to install a brake controller on your Toyota. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Force One second vehicle kit on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE. Having a braking system on a flat towed vehicle is required in most states and the reason being is it applies the brakes on the vehicle as you apply the brakes on the RV, bringing the vehicle to a slow and stop when you are coming to a slow or stop on your RV. But you also have a breakaway switch on the front of the vehicle in case of a catastrophic disconnect which will apply the brakes on the vehicle and that way it's not rolling down the highway in case of that disconnect. Now you can get the full kit with the Air Force One and that's gonna give you a reservoir tank that you'll tie into your supplied and metered air on your RV. But a lot of your newer coaches will actually have brake sink or on our Spartan today, you can see our tow brake already has a hookup so you're gonna wanna check that first because if that's the case, then you can get the second vehicle kit which is basically just the car side. It's not gonna have the tank and you won't have to worry about the RV. more

Now this kit is gonna be for someone who has a trailer that has a seven-way plug but doesn't have electric brakes. Say if you have a surge coupler, but you also have maybe an electric jack or you have a battery bank on there that you would like to charge while driving down the highway, this is a kit for you. This is gonna give you the seven-way plug and it's gonna give you 12 volt auxiliary power out to your trailer. If you're planning on carrying around some fun accessories like a rooftop box or a basket or maybe some kayaks, what you first need is a roof rack system, and for your Nissan Sentra, yes, there are options for you. Now, this Yakima system is unique in that it does have a little bit more of an involved process. It does take longer to install, but the results are that it gives you more crossbar spread, meaning more space or more surface area for your cargo. If you're carrying around kayaks, ladders, even a Christmas tree, that extra long cargo would appreciate this wider crossbar spread. Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2017 Ford Focus- Video
Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 Ford Focus we're going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect switch. But before we get into that, why don't we just take a minute, check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. What this kit is going to allow you to do is to easily disconnect and reconnect the battery and power on your Focus. And you need to do that because with the Focus, at least in our case, with the automatic transmission, Ford wants you to disconnect the battery whenever you're flat towing. And that don't sound too bad at first, but having to remember to disconnect it every time and get your tools out and pop the hood and go, you know, remove it, remove your terminal, you know, and then doing that whenever you're ready to take your car out for a spin, that could get old real quick. more

So what this kit is going to do is give us a 7-way round style connector and it's also gonna have a 4-way flat on it too. Yakima JetStream Roof Rack Installation - 2021 Nissan Rogue- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Yakima Roof Rack system which we'll take a look at on our 2021 Nissan Rogue. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like kayaks or ladders, or maybe you want a roof-mounted bike rack or extra cargo space in the form of a roof box, what you first need is a roof rack system. So this is the system from Yakima, which is ideal for if you want a premium roof rack that is strong, it's sturdy but it also gives you extra long crossbars spread. Compared to other brands, this gives you a wider platform with your crossbar staying further apart so you can carry those longer items like kayaks, ladders or even Christmas trees if you want. For your Rogue's roof, you wanna make sure there's enough clearance underneath for clamps or U-bolts and wing nuts. Here from our roof to bottom of the crossbar I have it at three inches of clearance and then the height addage to the top of our roof at the top of the crossbar is gonna be four inches of height. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima EXO system Swing Away Storage and Ski and Snowboard Carrier and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Kia Telluride. This is gonna be a completely modular system. So the whole kit here that you see comes with the Swing Away base, the top shelf that adds the second layer for your accessories, the gear locker box on the bottom and the ski and snowboard carrier up top. And the nice thing about the EXO system is that with it being modular and offering so many different accessories, you can swap things out and get this all individually if you wanted. GCH Custom Third Brake Light Camera Installation - 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Hi, John with etrailer. If you're looking to keep an eye on the cargo in your truck-bed, then checkout this GCH third brake light camera that we installed on our 2019 Ford F250 Super Duty. You guys that have the tailgate cameras know that if you have a tailgate down, you're just getting a view of your trailer hitch, the bumper hitch down there. Now, in a gooseneck or a fifth-wheel situation, that's not gonna help you out at all, so if we switch back now to that camera, we do have a clear shot of our trailer, and it's gonna help us backup and line up to it. So, a lot of you guys out there with toolboxes, you asked the question, "Is the toolbox gonna block the view" And in our case today, it does. Now, you can do a couple of things to alleviate this, obviously if you know, if you're working out there, you need a toolbox, they do have the ones that are flush-mounted with the side of the bed, so that would probably allow more of a field of view, so that you could see your gooseneck ball here. more

Demco SBS Towed Car Conversion Kit Installation - 2022 Freightliner XC-Series- Video
(tool buzzing distantly) Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Demco conversion kit from Stay-IN-Play DUO to the Air Force One on a 2022 Freightliner XC Chassis. So, throughout a flat tow vehicle's lifespan, sometimes you end up upgrading either the vehicle or the coach, and that means not everything plays ball. So if you've gone to a larger coach with air brakes, unfortunately, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is not going to be working. So, instead of taking out the entire system, you can simply buy the conversion, which is gonna give you the main unit here, as well as the lines to hook up to the front, your airline, also your fitting here, and also the tank and fittings to hook up to the air supply on your RV! Now, this is a pretty simple system, especially if you have everything in place, you just kinda cut a few wires, you can utilize a lot of the same airlines already. You will have to run a new one, and you will have to tie into your RV, but something also to consider is, a lot of newer RVs will already have the tank in place. So, something you're gonna wanna check is to see if you have that fitting on the back of your RV already, and if that's the case, you're gonna be in luck. more

Demco SBS Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Wire Kit Installation - 2023 Ford Ranger- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Charge Line for towed vehicles on a 2023 Ford Ranger. Charge lines are something that I recommend to just about anyone that's flat towing a vehicle. Unless you have a battery disconnect and even sometimes with the battery disconnect, you wanna make sure that the battery of your towed vehicle is not going to start to dwell once you're towing it, and then when you get to your campsite you end up having to jumpstart your vehicle. Just to save yourself that little bit of headache I think the charge line is worth it even if it saves you from having to do that once. And the reason being is it's very simple to put in place. You wanna make sure you're doing this at the same time as your diode wiring because it's pretty simple. more
